Storyline

In 1947 this “asylum” was closed after reports of extreme violence and gruesome experiments. No one has been seen since then.

 

Since a while, there are rumors that something or someone is busy again in this “institution” to perform, again, the most horrific experiments on patients who have been locked.

In official media, however, nothing can be found about these facts so it is assumed that it is not true and that the institution is still empty.

 

Occasionally curious people are spotted around the building. Some were never found back. Do you dare to take a look?

 

Location

Truescape is located in the monumental warehouse complex Westelijk Handelsterrein that dates back to 1894 and is located in the heart of Rotterdam. The location is next to the Erasmus Bridge near the cozy, filled with old ships, Veerhaven. The area around Truescape is characterized by restaurants, bars and mansions. A visit to Truescape can therefore be combined nicely with a visit to the area.

Truescape is convenient to reach by tram via stop “Rotterdam Vasteland” (5 minutes walk), “Rotterdam Westplein” (1 minute walk) and “Rotterdam Leuvehaven” metro stop (10 minutes walk). Alternatively, you can also take the Spido (water taxi), which will dock at the stop “Rotterdam Erasmusbrug” (10 minutes walk).

 

Parking

Parking is possible around Truescape.

The Erasmusbrug parking garage is a 5-minute walk from Truescape Rotterdam The Asylum.

 

Free parking is only possible after 18:00 and only on the streets “Veerhaven, Parklaan, Calandstraat and Westerkade”. Please note the arrival time when parking on these streets. It is a 10-minute walk from the free parking spaces!
